There are currently no offerings available from Artemis Project Program Participants.
We are still working out business plans for several other companies which will be program participants in the Artemis Project.
We do not expect to have an offering for stock in The Lunar Resources Company this year. The Lunar Resources Company is the program integrator for the Artemis Project.
In the near term, The Lunar Resources Company serves as the licensing and publicity agent for the Artemis Project. An initial offering may be made to raise the capital required to expand the business infrastructure to manage the trademark licensing, to market the Artemis Project trademarks, and to provide part of the initial financing for several subsidiary companies.
Direct investmentment in the subsidiaries will also be available, to accommodate investors who are more comfortable investing in a single industry or product line.
Long-term prospects for The Lunar Resources Company are discussed separately. Future business activities will depend on the conditions prevailing at that time, so we do not expect to open offerings for full industrialization of the moon several for several years.
Delos develops and markets, at the wholesale level, consumer products associated with the Artemis Project. Capital is required to expand the market for the existing product lines, and to develop additional markets. We are developing its long-term business plans and searching for a management team for Delos at this time. We do not anticipate an offering for Delos Entertainment this year.
Lunar Traders is a retail outlet for Artemis Project and other space-related merchandise. This independently-owned franchise operation is not currently seeking investors.
LRC Simulations markets consumer entertainment based on simulation software developed for the Artemis Project. Business plans are still under development. We do not anticipate an offering for LRC Simulations in 1999.
LRC Software markets consumer software products based on computer programs developed for the Artemis Project. Business plans are still under development. We do not anticipate an offering for LRC Software in 1999.
Ascending Node is The Lunar Resources Company's motion picture production company. We are seeking a management team and corporate partners in the industry at this time. Scripts and story lines are under development. Business planning is still in its infancy, so we do not anticipate an offering for Ascending Node in 1999.
Moonbeam produces shows for broadcast on radio and television. Planning for this venture is very sketchy, so we do not anticipate an offering in the near future. We are seeking a management team and corporate partners in the industry.
Many other ventures related to the Artemis Project exist in concept. We actively encourage inviduals and other companies to launch these ventures independent of The Lunar Resources Company. LRC itself is evaluating several other ventures. All products bearing the Artemis Project trademark must be approved by The Lunar Resources Company's Product Review Board. Licensees are welcome and encouraged to participate in the Product Review Board in an advisory capacity. LRC remains the sole authority as to whether a product or service is fit to bear the Artemis Project trademark.
Licenses to market products using the Artemis Project trademark are available. Contact The Lunar Resources Company at tlrc@tlrc.com for details.
Produce endorsements, as the "official widget of the Artemis Project," are available in both exclusive and non-exclusive forms. Please send proposals to The Lunar Resouces Company at tlrc@tlrc.com.
This company will carry out the Artemis Project's reference mission. It was originally conceived, around 1993, as a division of The Lunar Resources Company; so we retain its original name as a working title.Originally, this company was expected to be financed primarily by revenues earned from the entertainment value of the Artemis Project. However, the amount of interest in direct investment in the space flight is considerably greater than we had anticipated, so the Space Flight Division has become an independent corporation. It will make its own offerings to acquire the capital required to conduct the flight which places the initial exploration base on the moon.
The Lunar Resources Company is committed to investing net proceeds earned from its current marketing ventures in the Space Flight Company. A future offering may be made inviting investment by other companies and individuals. The total amount of the offering will be on the order of $2,000,000,000, available by subscription. The proceeds of the offering will be used to finance the space flight.
The Space Flight Company will own the initial exploration base, its supporting spacecraft, and its products, including lunar samples and images returned with the flight.
The relative amount of ownership by LRC, other companies, and individuals depends on the level of interest in direct investment in the space flight. The company will not commence operation until sufficient subscriptions have been received to finance development and operation of the initial lunar exploration base.
In the long term, The Lunar Resources Company plans to expand its business to encompass exactly what the company name implies: mining, processing, and sale of the resources of the moon. We anticipate that a second major offering will be required to finance construction and transport the equipment necessary to do this.Since processing of the lunar regolith yields a host of marketable material, The Lunar Resources Company's business necessarily encompasses several product lines, detailed below.
Primarily used as oxydizer for chemical rocket engines, but also marketable for life support applications.[Information on Lunar Oxygen extraction]
Primarily iron and aluminum, for use in construction and manufacturing on the moon and fabrication of spacecraft.[Information on Lunar Metals extraction]
Many trace gases are byproducts of the oxygen and metals production processes. These will be stored and used in industrial and life support products on the moon. One of the notable volatiles is solar-deposited helium, of which 1 part in 10,000 is the isotope helium-3. If fusion of helium-3 with deuterium becomes a viable energy source for use on the earth, helium-3 could become the most lucrative industrial product of the moon.[Information on Helium-3]
Unprocessed lunar material has considerable economic value on earth as collectibles, souvenirs, and source material for scientific investigations and development of industrial processes. Chemical analysis of lunar material gathered from the Apollo missions indicates that there also may be gemstones beneath the surface; however we have been unable to find a consensus among geologists about whether the lunar geological processes would yield crystals large enough to be useful as gems. We probably will not be able to answer the gemstone question until we get there.
In addition to direct use of lunar resources, The Lunar Resources Company plans several ventures associated with the space tourism industry. These ventures include commercial transportation systems, housing, and recreational facilities on the moon.[Information on Your Vacation on the Moon]
[Information on Lunar Passenger Transportation Systems]
[Information on Lunar Tourism Residence]
Use of lunar material on the earth requires a robust transportation system. We anticipate a subsidiary or independent company to build an electromagnetic launching system for delivery of lunar industrial products to orbits in cislunar space.
In anticipation of use of the moon as a staging base for robotic and manned missions to other celestial bodies -- notably Mars and the asteroids -- we anticipate that at some time in the future we will form a subsidiary to manufacture spacecraft approximately 95% of whose mass is obtained from lunar material.
The lunar community will require analogs of nearly all the industries that exist today on earth. Prevailing conditions in future times will determine the extent of the company's involvement in industries such as local housing, transportation, clothing, agriculture, communication, water, and electrical power. The moon also offers unique industries such as provision of pressurized space for habitat development and thermal control systems for maintaining the temperature of habitats.
